Throughout 2022, Glasgow taxi drivers have been returning thousands of items back to passengers - and some are more bizarre than others 🚖

Glasgow taxis have revealed the tens of thousands of items left behind in cabs this year in new figures, and some are stranger than others.

Dougie McPherson, Chairman of Glasgow Taxis Ltd, said: “Wee Henry was left behind in a taxi at the start of the year and for a brief period the loss left a vacuum in that customer’s life until we managed to facilitate its safe return.Aside from the bizarre find, other items that were most commonly left behind included wallets or purses - with 1,560 found over the year. Next up was sets of keys, with drivers finding 1,300 over 2022.

Where possible, drivers do what they can to return items to customers. If it can’t be done, they are brought to Police Scotland’s lost and found department.
