It’s TV’s biggest night! Father-son duo Eugene and Dan Levy are hosting the Emmy Awards for the first time. “Shogun” is the frontrunner in the drama categories after scoring 25 nominations. “The Bear” has 23 nominations on the comedy side.
It was a 'Happy Days' reunion at the 2024 Emmys. Henry Winkler and Ron Howard took the stage at the Sept. 15 awards ceremony, stepping into a re-creation of their beloved set to celebrate the show's 50th anniversary. Winkler, known as cool guy Arthur “Fonzie” Fonzarelli, and Howard, who portrayed Richie Cunningham, presented the award for best directing for a comedy series.
Howard suggested Winkler pull out his old moves. 'Well, I have solution. You know, you can do it,' Howard said. Winkler said he was 'out of practice' before hitting the juke box. The 'Happy Days' theme song started playing — cue the nostalgia. “Happy Days,” which ran for 11 season from 1974 to 1984, followed a Milwaukee family in the 1950s and '60s. The show spawned multiple spin-offs, including “Laverne & Shirley” and “Mork & Mindy.
