The number of cases of unknown origin in children now stands at 169 reported in 12 countries - including in the UK, US, Spain, Israel, and Ireland - among youngsters aged from one month to 16 years.The WHO has given no details of the death and has not said where it occurred. One potential line of enquiry is whether or not a group of viruses called adenoviruses may be causing the illnesses.The common cold virus, known as the adenovirus, has been detected in at least 74 cases. COVID-19 infection was identified in 20 cases, and 19 cases had both viruses. There is no link to coronavirus jabs, officials in the UK have said.
