Glasgow City Council has issued advice to residents on how to recycle their Christmas trees 🎄
There are various options, including using your brown bin or taking the tree to a designated drop-off zone.'Drink more Guinness': Glasgow public open up about their New Years resolutionsFor households with a brown bin, real Christmas trees can be placed in the bin for kerbside collection.
Residents are asked to cut the tree into manageable pieces, make sure the lid will close and make sure the tree is not wedged into the bin.Real Christmas trees can also be taken to the following locations from Tuesday, January 3 until Tuesday, January 31:Alexandra Park, off Alexandra Parade, at the car park next to the golf courseIn addition, there will be a drop-off point at Mansfield Park, via Hyndland Street, from Thursday, January 5.
Trees taken to these parks are chipped and shredded on site for use within the parks! Treemendous 🌲 😀
