The researchers found that there was actually less activity in neurons relating to vision – hinting that the brain might be ‘over-interpreting’, and creating stuff like talking horses to compensate.University of Oregon researchers dosed some mice with a hallucinogenic drug DOI , which is legal for research, unlike drugs such as LSD.
