Once again Coronation Street is missing from the schedules in order to give way to a major sporting fixture. This time it’s the Rugby World Cup which is replacing our Friday evening Corrie fix – with the match between New Zealand and Italy airing live on ITV1. The live coverage from OL Stadium in Lyon begins at 7.30pm, with kick-off at 8pm – and runs all the way through until the ITV News at 10.25pm.It’s a big game for both teams, being the third and penultimate match of their Pool A games – with New Zealand still to take on Uruguay and Italy to face France.
And there’s a lot at stake for the All Blacks – who have never lost to Italy but need to win their next two games to qualify for the quarter-finals, having lost their opener to France before a win against Namibia.
