'Credit where credit's due'
The driver of a HGV, which smashed through the central barrier, sadly lost his life and I can't even begin to imagine what his loved ones are going through. The motorway was, understandably, closed for several hours while the vehicles were recovered.
On Friday night, while making my weekly trip up the M6, I came across the crews from National Highways. I imagine they will have been working throughout the night to repair the damaged central barrier. And although the delays - worse on the southbound carriageway - lengthened my journey and no doubt tested every motorist's clutch control skills, I take my hat off to highways this time.
