The 39-year-old Virginia native, who transforms cookie-cutter houses into custom dream homes and helps do-it-yourselfers with failed home-improvement projects, is asking a tad under $6.5 million for the so-called Roth Homestead, which she and her husband Brett purchased for $700,000 back in May 2016.
Nestled amid a fenced and gated parcel of land spanning less than a quarter-acre, the two-story home is accessed by a walkway that empties out at double wood doors that open to the front entrace. Once inside, a hallway flows to an office space with a full bath on one side and a formal dining room warmed by a fireplace on the other.
Elsewhere on the main level is a bonus room that flaunts a wet bar and a “secret” bookcase that opens to reveal a speakeasy-style lounge with banquette seating; and upstairs, four bedrooms include a serene primary suite resting beneath a vaulted ceiling and flaunting a decorative fireplace, a walk-in closet, and a marble-clad bath spotlighted by dual vanities, a glass-encased shower, and a vintage black and gold clawfoot soaking tub.
Roth, who has a 4-year-old daughter and is expecting her second child later this year, is selling because she and her family are moving to Park City, Utah. “Putting the Roth Homestead up for sale is bittersweet,” she says. “It took me three years to build, and it’s been a place we’ve called home for over four years. Hazel was 3 months old when we moved in.
