As the Higgins tape shows, it’s not the political right that specialises in hypocrisy – it’s the left and their treatment of conservative women which is believed to be “something that’s okay”, says Sky News host Peta Credlin.

Ms Credlin said during a five-hour conversation about “weaponising the Higgins rape claim” against the Morrison government, Brittany Higgins, Lisa Wilkinson and others mocked the former government about its alleged failures to pre-select women.

“Then Wilkinson proceeds to mispronounce Price’s name, deliberately perhaps, it seems, and then the group of them, they go onto banging on about the Coalition and black people more generally,” Ms Credlin said. Ms Credlin said instead of “showing off their moral superiority”, they in fact demonstrated “just how selective their care of others really is”.
