Low profile First Lithium has reported excellent looking lithium results from its Blakala project in Mali.Assays have included 41m grading 1.9% lithium oxide from 81m and 20m at 2% lithium oxide from 69m.In terms of the 'true width' of the mineralisation, the pegmatites generally dip at circa 80 degrees to the west at Blakala, with First Lithium saying the diamond holes were drilled perpendicular to the general strike of the pegmatite bodies, at a dip of about 50 degrees.

High grade results were recorded over a circa 1200m strike of the main pegmatite at Blakala, the explorer said.A resource estimate is being finalised. The Venkat Padala-led First Lithium also noted the Mali government has initiated actions for implementing the amended Mining Code and has started collecting documents as preliminary step to begin the license renewal process.First Lithium ended the June quarter with A$2.2 million cash.
