'Drugs thrown out of window' in high-speed police chase through south Manchester
Neighbours in south Manchester were woken up by a high-speed police chase in the early hours of this morning. Residents in Chorlton and Whalley Range reported seeing a police helicopter and cop cars around 3.30am.
Greater Manchester Police says the occupants got out of the car, but were eventually found by officers. After drugs were found close nearby, all three were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. The commotion disturbed many residents across the Chorlton and Whalley Range area, with eyewitnesses reporting a loud noise coming from at least one helicopter above. One resident, who contacted the M.E.N. in the early hours of the morning, said: "Any idea what’s happening in Chorlton?
They wrote: "I presume that it’s your helicopter that’s been flying around Whalley Range for an hour. It woke me up and sounded like a helicopter chasing a small prop plane."
