Soap stars are some of the highest paid names on television with famous characters from EastEnders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale raking in millions.
EastEnders Steve McFadden - £200,000 The 64-year-old who has been playing the iconic hardman Phil Mitchell on EastEnders since 1990 reportedly takes home a whopping £200,000 per year. Adam Woodyatt - £200,000 Next up is another famous face in EastEnders, who is perhaps best known online for his famous 'I've got nothing left' line while playing Walford icon Ian Beale.
Natalie Cassidy - £150,000 Natalie has been a fixture on EastEnders since 1993 and has played the legendary trumpet playing Sonia for most of her life. Letitia Dean - £150,000 Letita has been playing Sharon Watts since 1985, and despite first leaving in 1995, she returned again six years later to reclaim her role.The 55-year-old is now reportedly making £150,000 from EastEnders, making her one of the highest paid women on the show.
Bill has released a number of books documenting his lengthy career, including 50 Years on the Street: My Life with Ken Barlow in 2011 and Life and Soul: How to Live a Long and Healthy Life, in 2018. He's appeared in theatre productions including Oliver! and West Side Story and also his own successful podcast, Sofa Cinema Club with Corrie co-stars Colson Smith and Ben Price.
Emmerdale Claire King - £230,000 Claire is Emmerdale's biggest-ever earner and is one of the highest paid soap actresses in history. Earlier this year, he signed a deal confirming his contract for another year and in 2019, he received a British Empire Medal for his services to drama and charity.
