She gave us some 00s nostalgia with her new cut
Hilary Duff gave us some of our most major 00s pop culture. From starring as the titular character in Lizzie McGuire, acting opposite Chad Michael Murray and Jennifer Coolidge in A Cinderella Story and introducing us to some of the best 00s hits like So Yesterday, she has been an icon of Y2K culture.
Until recently, Hilary’s trademark blonde hair had been styled in a chest length cut, which the actress often wore in loose waves. Her dramatic new bob has been chopped above her shoulders, and she wears it almost entirely straight except for the flicked-out ends. Blunt bobs like Hilary’s are ideal for creating the illusion of fuller, thicker hair thanks to the blunt ends which add weight and volume. The flicked-out bob has slowly been making its way back into popularity thanks to the resurgence of 00s trends, and although the style originated in the 60s, it gained popularity in the late 90s and early 00s.
