Wrap up warm!
With another cold weekend expected, it can be less tempting to head outdoors and brave the freezing conditions.
With that in mind, we've chosen to suggest a shorter than usual walk this week and one which ends at a traditional inn where you can warm up in front of an open fire. Depending on the weather conditions, the walk should take no longer than hour at a total distance of around 3.3km. From the village of Waddington, near Clitheroe, the hillside route offers panoramic views across Pendle. The impressive Colthurst Hall is another point of interest along the route, which was created as part of Ribble Valley's Walks with Taste.The route starts and ends at the Lower Buck Inn, a traditional, family owned pub which dates back to 1760 and is based in the heart of the village. It has three open fires and serves up highly rated home cooked food alongside a range of cask ales.
