A volunteer rescue crew had to carry an injured hillwalker who suffered a leg injury off of Ben Venue on Thursday afternoon.
A walker had to be stretchered off of a Scots hillside by rescue volunteers after suffering a leg injury.
Emergency services were called to Ben Venue, near Loch Katrine, in the Trossachs, on Thursday afternoon. Volunteers from Lomond Mountain Rescue Team were then called in to assist the rescue the walkers who had injured their lower leg. The rescue team put the injured walker inside a bivvy bag to keep them warm in the freezing conditions before carrying them down the hillside.Click here for more news and sport from the Stirling area.A spokesperson for Lomond MRT said: “After initial assessment and treatment, the casualty was stretchered off the hill to a waiting ambulance for transfer to hospital.
