Emergency services rushed to the B-listed building on Stevenson Street at around 2.36am on Thursday, August 1, following reports of a blaze. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service mobilised two fire appliances and a height appliance to the scene.
A historic Paisley mansion house has been gutted after going up in flames in the early hours of this morning.
Fire crews are believed to still be battling to extinguish the early morning inferno. Images from the scene show the gorgeous period building is now in ruin with rubble lying around the huge 17,163 square foot site. It is currently unclear if the building can be saved.A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 2.36am on Thursday, 1 August, to reports of a fire within a derelict building on Stevenson Street, Paisley. Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances and a height appliance to the scene.
