Dallas coach Mike McCarthy has warned his team against fighting in practice. That doesn’t mean it won’t happen anyway.

That’s not toughness. It’s lack of discipline. We want the work to get the emotional edge to push each other, but you’ve got to handle those spots. It’s all part of the emotional challenge in the game of football.
In a scene largely captured by the Hard Knocks cameras documenting the Cowboys’ training camp that season, it was obvious that tensions were bubbling up early between the two sides.And, of course, that big hit came when Williams and Donald got tangled up after a run play, then started swinging. A dogpile ensued before order was eventually restored.“Listen, we’re not out there trying to start fights,” guard Zack Martin said after the practice.
In fairness, it’s not like the Cowboys and Rams have some training camp-fueled rivalry. It was just the first time during camp each team had gone up against someone wearing a different uniform.
