A 12-year-old schoolgirl, Tori Walton, was severely injured in a hit-and-run incident after being struck by a speeding car while walking home from school. The accident occurred at a junction near Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth in Stockton-Upon-Tees , England. Tori suffered a deep gash on her head, requiring 17 staples. Thankfully, a passing motorist witnessed the incident and immediately called for an ambulance.
Paramedics rushed Tori to North Tees University Hospital, where she received treatment for her head wound and other injuries. The driver responsible for the collision, described as driving a silver estate vehicle, fled the scene without stopping to check on Tori's well-being.Tori's mother, Charleigh McCann, expressed shock and disbelief over the incident. She described her daughter as being 'black and blue' and stated that the family is deeply shaken by the accident. While acknowledging that Tori's partial fault for not properly checking for traffic before crossing the road, Charleigh emphasized that the driver's responsibility to stop and assist was paramount. She appealed for the public's help in identifying the driver, stating, 'I just want them caught, and I'm sure any mam would be the same.'
