Parents will receive £102.40 every 4 weeks for the first or only child and £67.80 every 4 weeks for each additional child. Announcing the change in last month’s Budget, Chancellor Jeremy Hunt said: “That means two parents earning £49,000 a year receive the benefit in full but a household earning a lot less than that does not if just one parent earns over £50,000.
