HMRC will soon begin paying out the second cost of living payment for nearly one million households
The cash will make up the second part of the Cost of Living payment, worth a total of £900. While HMRC is handing out the same Cost of Living payment as the Department for Work and Pensions, the payment date and qualifying benefits are slightly different.
Secondly, the recipient must not have received a payment for another benefit from the DWP during the same period - this can include payments for Universal Credit and Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance. If this is the case, then the Cost of Living Payment will be handed out by the DWP instead.
