A staggering 20,000 people will get a tour of the ship this weekend

The HMS Prince of Wales will welcome 20,000 excited visitors over the course of the weekend, after tickets to get on board were snapped up soon after becoming available. Last time the ship visited Liverpool in 2020, it drew crowds of hundreds of thousands to the city's waterfront , which explains why tickets were so popular. If you were one of the lucky ones to secure a time slot to have a tour of the ship at the weekend, you might want to know what you can bring with you on to the ship.

You will also be allowed to take pictures and film on board, although any unauthorised recordings may be confiscated and/or destroyed. People will be searched on entry to the ship, so here's a list of items that are banned from being brought on to the ship. Prohibited items include glass bottles and anything that can be considered dangerous or a weapon. No food can be taken or consumed on board and the only drinks allowed are sealed water bottles under 500ml in size.
