A hobby-mechanic named Sreten restores an abandoned car that had been sitting in a garden for years. The car, which had only one owner since 1998, was recognized by the mechanic through his restoration videos. Despite the challenges, Sreten is determined to clean and refurbish the car.
The restoration was undertaken by hobby-mechanic Sreten, who regularly posts restoration projects on his channel, M539 Restorations. Sreten said: "It has spent all of its life inside of France, and since 1998 it has only had one owner. "The owner was an elderly gentleman...but in around 2011 he stopped using and parked it in his garden, where it has sat ever since." The motor was rotting away in the pensioners garden until his fed-up son had enough of seeing it turn into a glorified bird bog.
He said: "The seller, Marco, wanted to sell it to a good home and sold it to me after recognising my videos." Sreten was slightly apprehensive before starting out the solo project. He said: "It's going to take forever to put this car back together by myself because I have to clean and refurbish everything."
