The budget airline has introduced new rules for passengers that will affect anyone travelling with Ryanair

Ryanair has unveiled a significant alteration to its boarding pass policy, set to come into effect before the summer. This crucial update, along with the airline's stringent rules on hand luggage and other aspects, is vital for passengers to bear in mind before heading out on their holidays.

However, a £55 charge is levied on those who forget to check in and download their boarding passes before reaching the airport, reports the Express. From May 2025, the option to check in and print boarding passes at the airport will be completely removed. Hand luggage size restrictions Ryanair may be renowned for its budget-friendly fares, but generous hand luggage allowances definitely aren't part of the package. Passengers wishing to bring more than one small under-seat bag, either onboard or as checked luggage, will incur a fee.

In line with Ryanair's baggage policy, each passenger can bring a small personal bag of these dimensions on board at no extra cost, conveniently fitting right under the seat ahead – a perfect match for the Aerolite bag they're offering. Should Priority be fully booked or passengers prefer to check their luggage, there is also a 10kg check-in bag option available.
