HOLIDAY destinations around the world have been severely impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In a bid to boost tourism, many have vowed to cover some of the costs of a holiday in order to lure tourists back. Which destinations are paying travellers to visit?
Having already suffered losses of around €1 billion from its tourism industry, thegovernment suggested covering the cost of holidays in a bid to provide a much-needed boost to the island.Holidaymakers will also enjoy free tickets to many of the region's museums and archaeological sites.Some hotel chains in Mexico are offering new deals set to slash prices for the cost of accommodation in some of its most popular hotspots.
