Holly Willoughby has opened up about the decision to leave This Morning after 14 years, revealing it was a straightforward choice to prioritize her well-being. Discussing why she felt moving forward was her only option, the mother-of-three said: 'Sometimes things go wrong, but you have to keep going for it because that’s all you can do.
' She reflected on the challenges she faced, acknowledging the need to focus on the positive aspects of her life, including her loving husband Dan, their children Harry, Chester, and Belle, and her supportive friends.The star, who is said to have cried during the interview, was asked if she felt like she was a victim after the ordeal of Gavin Plumb. Plumb was given three life sentences for planning to break into her home, then sedate, abduct, and kill her and her husband. Holly stated, 'When something like that happens, you have a decision to make. You either decide, right, I can take this on board and it can absolutely affect all aspects of my life. Or I can make a choice to go, let’s focus on everything that’s positive and good, all those important things.' Looking back on the decision, Holly emphasized that leaving This Morning was a clear and easy choice for her, explaining that it was driven by a multitude of factors happening at the time. She further addressed the rumors surrounding her departure, stating that it was not a result of any specific event but rather a culmination of circumstances. Meanwhile, Phillip Schofield, her former co-host, has been airing his own version of events in his Channel 5 show 'Cast Away,' claiming he was fired by ITV due to the negative publicity surrounding his brother's crimes, rather than his affair with a younger male colleague.
