In a segment about Spring Savings, Martin complain to Holly and Phillip Schofield about people not investing time in finding the best offers out there."They think 'my savings are awful, I'll just leave them where they are'.The Money Saving Expert looked uncomfortable about being asked the question Trying to make it easier for people to find out where to go for more information, Holly asked: "If you are that person, where's a place you can look online to find out all those sorts of things, just anywhere?"
But her question was followed by stunned silence from 46-year-old Martin who told her: "You've asked me a question which Ofcom regulations say I'm not allowed to answer on-air."Holly and Phil giggled as they hinted that there were a range of websites out there to help with peoples' concerns. He joined the hosts for a Monday morning round-up of Spring Savings viewers need to be looking out for.Martin explained that a cash ISA is a savings account you don't pay tax on.He was left shaking with nerves at the thought of returning to TV work over his ill health.
