Hollyoaks boss Lucy Allan has reportedly stepped down after two and a half years.
The groundbreaking incel narrative, a story that saw Eric Foster – played by the brilliant Angus Castle-Doughty – terrorise the women of the eponymous village, would also pick up gold at the Soap Awards.
A number of huge narrative changes took place under Lucy’s leadership, including Tony and Diane Hutchinson taking over The Dog In The Pond, as well as the introduction of popular characters such as the incomparable Ethan Williams and Norma Crow.
Managing directors of Lime Pictures, Kate Little and Claire Poyser said: ‘We would like to thank Lucy for everything she has done for Hollyoaks, leading the programme through Covid and its aftermath, forging a ground-breaking partnership with the BBC and Eurovision and delivering unforgettable, critically acclaimed storylines such as Misbah’s Rape and The Long Walk Home.
