Hollyoaks legend Stephanie Waring was emotional saying goodbye to crew members she had worked with for 16 years after getting ready to say goodbye to her character after almost three decades
Hollyoaks legend Stephanie Waring was left in floods of tears after saying goodbye to her character Cindy Cunnigham, after 28 years on the soap.
“Today I had to say goodbye to some crew members that I’ve been working with for the last 16 years, and known for the last 28 years. It just hit me like a thunderbolt,” the soap star told her followers with noticeable tears in her eyes. Her departure comes after a recent cull of cast members, with Stephanie being the only original out of the 20 to be let go. It was revealed this month that the soap was the latest to be hit by budget cuts.
“They’ve made a massive mistake in letting you go. Such an integral part of the show and so much more to give,” wrote one.“I lost my job last year and I’d not been in it anywhere as long as you have. It’s really hard when it’s not your choice. I am a firm believer in when one door closes another one opens, I’m sure another amazing opportunity will come your way x,” wrote one supportive fan.
