Nikki Sanderson has played Maxine Minniver since 2012 and has opened up on what she'd like to see for her character in the future
Hollyoaks star Nikki Sanderson has confirmed that her character, Maxine Minniver, will continue to feature in the soap despite a significant time jump.
Earlier this year, it was announced that Hollyoaks would be making soap history with a one-year time jump in future episodes. This change in format is due to job cuts resulting from the reduction of weekly episodes from five to three starting this September. She added: "It's going to be empty pages of a book and it's going to be really exciting to see what is written and I think it's a fantastic opportunity to give the show a huge shake-up because a year has gone by and lets see where everyone is and how well they've fared in the last year."
"I think that it'd be lovely to see her go really far in her career, and obviously her and Minnie are just an awesome duo and just see them both.", reports the Mirror.
