Hollyoaks will reduce its weekly episode output later this year, with an innovative way to mark the new era Hollyoaks will mark the beginning of its brand new era with a bold and daring move as it skips forward a year in time. The Channel 4 soap will reduce its weekly output from five episodes to three in September in response to extensive research which indicates that this is the optimum episode pattern to keep viewers hooked.
