Street drinking, excessive noise, hurling missiles, fighting, fly-tipping and public urination were among the complaints
More than 3,000 complaints of anti-social behaviour and littering have been recorded by the city council since 2019, according to detailed logs obtained by Belfast Live.
For years long-term residents have complained of anti-social behaviour when students populate the neighbourhood during the academic year.There were 1,134 complaints in 2019, 770 in 2020, 1,008 in 2021 and around 140 in 2022 so far. Around 2,400 alcohol units were disposed of so far this year, mainly from the St Patrick's period in March.
Mr Farley added: "There's always this, 'We don't want to come down on these people because we don't want to affect their career prospects,' but if you don't want to do the time you shouldn't do the crime.
