MDP Wethersfield in Essex has been earmarked by the Government as a site to hold up to 1,700 asylum seekers The Government has won a High Court battle against a council over housing hundreds of asylum seekers at a former RAF station in Essex.
In a ruling on Friday, Mr Justice Waksman concluded that the court did not have the legal power to grant the council’s application for an injunction, and ruled in favour of the Government.
