After a safe flight, they are on the way to their new home.
Mei Xiang was spotted looking out the crate's window as if she were saying goodbye, 7News' Caroline PatrickisThe crew made the 19-hour flight from D.C. to Chengdu, China, taking a brief stop to refuel in Alaska, with approximately 220 pounds of bamboo, eight pounds of leaf-eater biscuits, five pounds of low-starch biscuits, six pounds of apples, five pounds of carrots, six pounds of sweet potatoes, three pounds of sugar cane, one pound of pears and one pound of cooked squash.
