Lorry slams into van killing 5 kids on church trip to Disney World
In the brief clip, the Eagle Express Lines 18-wheel lorry is shown crashing through the barrier separating the opposing sides of the motorway before skidding side-on into the van carrying a church group from Louisiana.
Incredibly, Ali, who was pregnant at the time of the smash, gave birth to her healthy baby Cambrie weeks later.Describing the moment she saw the lorry hurtling towards their vehicle, she said: "I remember closing my eyes and thinking this is it. We're gonna die." The five children who died were aged between nine to 14 and were all from the small Louisiana town of Marksville.
Shocking footage of the aftermath of the crash showed thick black smoke billowing from a number of vehicles on fire, with emergency services sprawled over the road.The flames from the fire were so intense that parts of the road were damaged, police said.
