An girl, aged 11, and two men were rushed to hospital after an 'XL bully' dog attacked them in a busy street.
The owner can be seen trying to control the animal but it cannot be stopped and chases a man into a petrol forecourt before jumping up on his back and biting him. The man falls to the floor as the attack continues before a heroic passerby starts to batter the dog with a large shovel. Eyewitness Nasir Uddin posted on Facebook: “Most craziest thing me and my family just witnessed. A little girl was bitten by a brown dog and locked on. Several people was trying to get the dog to release on Bordesley Green Road. By the time I went up to the dog with a bar I had in the car it released the girl.
Another video showed police officers and an ambulance arriving at the street, outside Zahir Supermarket.
