At least 21 people, including children and foreign tourists, have died in a horrific bus crash near the Italian city of Venice.
The bus caught on fire near a train track after falling from an elevated street in the mainland borough of Mestre on Tuesday evening .

Picture: Italian Firefighters / Vigili del Fuoco/Handout/Anadolu Agency via Getty ImagesThe region’s governor Luca Zaia said the provisional toll “is at least 21 fatalities and over 20 people hospitalised.”“Efforts are on to extract and identify the bodies,” he said.Italian news agency ANSA said several of the dead were German and French citizens, while Euronews reported that Ukrainians were also on board the bus.
