It has now tragically been confirmed the young lad, and former student of Horsforth School, passed away a short while later.
A spokesperson from the force confirmed: "Police in Leeds have launched a murder investigation after a teenage boy died following a stabbing. "Emergency services attended and a 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
