Welcome to a world where delicious memories await, where Japanese hospitality, purposeful service and creative cuisine take center stage and turn weekend brunches into a unique, immersive experience. Welcome to ANZU, Hotel Nikko’s signature restaurant near San Francisco’s historic Union Square.
Located on the hotel’s second floor at 222 Mason Street, ANZU is open for breakfast, dinner and drinks Tuesday through Saturday but the Japanese-inspired boutique hotel, known for exceptional hospitality and attention to detail, takes special care to elevate the weekend brunch experience with menus designed to excite.
Sunday brunch-goers may visit the Chef’s Choice all-you-can eat sushi station featuring nigiri and makimono and the Japanese udon noodle station. The brunch buffet features four chef-selected standouts, plus sides such as smoked salmon, applewood smoked bacon, Japanese vegetables, steamed Nishiki rice, seasonal fruits, and California artisan cheeses and charcuterie. Brunch classics such as eggs, pancakes, waffles and smoothies are made to order.
Saturday’s menu features pairings of Osetra caviar, cold smoked silver salmon, and foie gras pate coupled with a selection of Louis Roederer champagnes. Or choose from main dishes such as Kurobuta chashu, a steamed pork bun served with Hoisin sauce and green onions, or dungeness crab roll served with locally grown mixed greens.
Hotel Nikko: Where fantastic memories awaitThat attention to detail that imbues ANZU’s brunch is the hallmark of Hotel Nikko itself, said Anna Marie Presutti, vice president and general manager of the 533-room boutique hotel, owned by Okura Hotels, a Tokyo-based hotelier.
