Heavy showers are expected, which at times could be thundery
Heavy rain is expected throughout the day as Storm Babet arrives in the UK. The Met Office has warned that there will be showers of rain throughout Nottingham on Thursday, October 19, which at times will be heavy and possibly thundery.
There are no weather warnings currently in place for Nottinghamshire, but there are some yellow warnings in place for parts of northern England, and several warnings in place for Scotland, including amber and red. There are no flood warnings in Nottinghamshire, but there is a flood alert for the River Maun between Sutton in Ashfield and Elkesley. A flood alert means flooding is possible in this area, but is not currently expected.
