Snow is forecast to fall in Leeds on Thursday
A severe amber snow warning has been issued by the Met Office for Leeds today as meteorologists worry some communities could become "cut off."
Heavy snow is set to batter Leeds on Thursday and the Met Office has warned of the possibility that rural communities could be cut off. Travel delays, power cuts and impacts to services like mobile phone reception and some delays or cancellations to air and rail services are also likely, amid the treacherous weather conditions.
The warning will come into force at 12pm on Thursday, February 8, and will be in place until 6pm on the same day. It currently covers parts of Sheffield in the Peak District, Huddersfield and Bradford.
