The new Met Office weather warning comes as Nottinghamshire is still being affected by Storm Babet
The Met Office has issued a fresh 'danger to life' weather warning for Nottinghamshire as the county continues to be hit by Storm Babet. The forecaster has issued a yellow warning for rain, which is valid from 3am until 4pm on Tuesday, October 24.
It comes after a major incident was declared in Nottinghamshire when torrential rain from the second named storm of the season led to homes and businesses flooding on Friday, October 20 and over the weekend. The Met Office has now warned there is a further risk of flooding and damage to buildings on Tuesday, October 24.
It said: "There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings. There is a small chance of fast-flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life. More than 30 flood warnings remain in place as of noon on Monday, October 23.
