A leader at the House of Representative on Tuesday urged President Rodrigo Duterte to endorse Vice President Maria Leonor 'Leni' Robredo, who is running for the position of President.'The President has expressed his desire for his successor to be ideally a lawyer, one who is decisive, compassionate and possesses good judgment.
Robredo's presidential bid has been backed by Rodriguez and his Centrist Democratic Party. He emphasized that Duterte's support for Robredo 'would assist VP Leni in securing victory on May 9.'He also stated that Robredo's significant advantage is that 'if she were elected President, she would not have to go through a learning curve and would be able to hit the ground running.''The President certainly wants his reform programs to be continued by his successor.
