House of the Dragon season 2, episode 4 makes it clear why it is called “The Dance of the Dragons.” The battle at Rook’s Rest saw Sunfyre, Meleys, and Vhagar all coming at each other, with Aemond’s dragon easily taking down her opponents. While Aemond attacking Aegon was a deviation from George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, the fact that Vhagar easily defeated Rhaenys’ dragon was hardly a surprise.
