House Democratic leadership has also worked hard to convince rank-and-file lawmakers to vote against the bill. With the general election campaign coming into focus, Johnson has turned to advancing partisan bills, including legislation on immigration, local policing and antisemitism, that are intended to force Democrats into taking difficult votes.“The administration has been wavering so I’m going to vote for the bill when it comes to the floor,” Rep.
