It's one of the biggest new developments in Notts
Further plans have been detailed for a new Nottinghamshire neighbourhood. Barratt Homes has put forward fresh plans for 182 properties at the vast Fairham development near Clifton, which when finished will provide 3,000 homes.
As part of Barratt Homes' Phase 4, nearly 200 homes will be built, with the latest application addressing the reserved matters for this portion of the project. These include vital aspects such as access to and the layout of the site, as well as the scale and appearance of the new build houses. In a planning document, Barratt Homes said: "Barratt is a Gold Leaf member of the UK Green Building Council as well as being the only major house builder to be a founder member and we take our responsibility to safeguard the environment extremely seriously. Barratt operates a comprehensive corporate environmental policy which covers house design, construction, water usage, material sourcing, pollution prevention and the use of SUDS.
The firm also highlighted opportunities for pedestrian travel within the area which would encourage the residents as well as staff and visitors of the site to travel to and from the facilities available on foot. The pedestrian facilities within the site provide access to a wider infrastructure network, including community hubs, open spaces, shops and public transport links, according to planning documents.
