Despite receiving the first major payday of his career, Houston Texans star receiver Nico Collins maintains his motivation in hopes of achieving greater success in 2024.
have spent the bulk of the offseason adding to one of the league's most promising rosters. But Tuesday afternoon, the Texans took care of a homegrown prospect.and the Texans agreed upon a three-year, $72.5 million contract extension, which includes $52.0 million guaranteed. The deal will make Collins the eight-highest-paid receiver at the start of the 2025 season.
Collins is now aiming to build on last season's success and is determined to prove why the Texans made the hefty long-term commitment. The first two weeks of Organized Team Activities at the Houston Methodist Training Center marked the first time Collins had a chance to continue building and developing under the same coach and offensive coordinator .
"Having this second year in this offense, it's going to be great for everyone to make plays, have fun and put some points on the scoreboard. To reach our end game, and that's winning the Super Bowl."
