From a remote primary school in the Northern Territory, six primary school students travelled a world away to take on the World Robotics Championships in Dallas, Texas.
Their robotics program only started 12 months ago, but the students picked it up so quickly that when they entered the national qualifiers in Sydney, they placed fourth in Australia. Describing the Texas-sized adjustment to the journey to the US, Heath said, "They're sticking close together and being incredibly brave - but the noise, the size, the scale - the frenetic energy is something to contest for anyone."Dhupuma-Barker competed in the "IQ division", where the world's top primary schools design and pilot modular robots.
