The resident applied for the money in December, as they were struggling financially and needed immediate support during the cost of living crisis.
In late February, they reached out to Alison Thewliss MP for Glasgow Central and soon received the £1542.88 payment which they were owed.The thankful constituent said: “The months of waiting for this payment were really difficult for myself and my family. We were really struggling to put“With the help of Alison Thewliss, I am so happy to have received this money.
“If anyone else finds themselves in a similar position to mine, I’d urge them to contact Alison’s office. Her team were great and really supported me to get this money which I was due.”Alison Thewliss said: “I am so happy that my constituent was able to receive this payment. After approaching our office in February, it was clear they had been waiting to receive this payment for far too long.
“While my team spoke with the DWP, the constituent was patient and really appreciative of the work that was being done. “I also want to extend a thanks to the DWP, who was also very helpful in this issue and were in regular dialogue with my team about this case.
