Ohio State beat Indiana 23-3 on Saturday, with mixed results from new starting QB Kyle McCord behind an inconsistent O-line.
As a whole, Ohio State ran for 143 yards. It was a solid performance for the running backs, considering the offensive line was inconsistent much of the day.
Henderson had been waiting for this game for a long time after injuries limited him in his 2022 season. He played through a foot fracture most of last season and never looked like the explosive back who took the country by storm as a freshman.Now healthy again, Henderson didn’t put up gaudy numbers in Ohio State’s win — he averaged just 3.9 yards per carry — but then again nobody on the offense did beyondIf you watched Henderson, you could see the burst back in his legs.
Indiana came into the game with an obvious focus on its option game. But the Hoosiers ran for just 71 yards and averaged 2.2 yards per carry. I give Ohio State credit for containing that run game because everybody still has memories of
