Anybody owning an electric car right now with a home charger installed on the driveway must be rubbing their unsanitised hands together with glee. We may not be clocking up as many miles during these troubled times but unlike petrol and diesel vehicles, owning a battery-powered car negates the need to handle a grubby fuel pump, surely a contagious hotspot for motorists.
